Saint Nick

Saint Nick came to us from NYCACC after being found at the base of a stairwell, with his leg completely crushed. We don't even want to think about how he ended up like that, but considering there was no one there claiming him, we can only imagine it was from a very bad situation/ owner. He had pieces of bone scattered all throughout his mangled leg. They originally thought it was going to need to be amputated, but after many surgeries it seems that he will do well with the leg over time! He is going for therapy often to help with mobility with that leg, which we will continue for him once he's in his forever home, so please do not let his medical issue hold you back from meeting him, because once you meet him, you'll fall in love! Saint Nick is a young, happy, sweet, affectionate boy who is friendly with other dogs too. He knows sit and takes treats gently, he is energetic but calms down quickly. We just adore him and want him to get into a loving home as fast as possible. Saint Nick is currently in foster care in Glen Cove. Please email us to find out how to meet him! Master is one of our favorite pups for adoption! We literally do not understand why he hasn't been scooped up yet. This adorable boy was rescued from a high kill shelter and is now in foster waiting for his forever family. He is super wiggly, and affectionate. All he wants to do is be close to his person and cuddle up and love on you. He likes other dogs too, but honestly, may just want his humans all to himself. Please, we are sick over the fact that he continues to wait. We know for a fact that he will make his future family so so incredibly happy. Is that you?

Malachi.JPG

Malachi

All your dream dog fantasies come true with Malachi. He loves children, he is house trained (he never has accidents), he loves other dogs, he is amazing on a leash--he even knows commands using sign language! And he is a true empath. He was given up to a high kill shelter because his owners was moving (they left behind the most beautiful and glowing notes about him) and the volunteers feel equally in love with him immediately. He became depressed in the shelter, eventually not wanting to enter the pen for playgroup and preferring just to sleep in his kennel, so was taken into the foster home where he now. There, he has found some semblance of happiness romping with other dogs and having a lap into which to curl. But Malachi is longing for a home to call his own. He is a dog who craves the company of the other people and a little dog time at the dog run should you not have another dog. This isn't code for separation anxiety--Malachi exhibits zero destructive behavior when left alone; he's just a dog who thrives being in a family. His dog fantasy would be that...an easy match, no? You get a dream dog, he gets a dream home. Please, open your heart to this open-hearted boy. For more information, email: TwigaAir@gmail.com with copy to Kayte.AirTwiga@gmail.com.

Sammy has been working so hard at his foster home to get into a forever home, of which he is so deserving! This former shelter pup is not only the most diligent student in his training class, but the instructor calls him her "star student," with the manners of a diplomat. Sammy, who is about five, is equally enchanting off leash: He lives nicely with cats, is gentle with kids, and endlessly offers up affection to anyone who crosses his path. His smitten foster mom admits to being very sad at the idea of parting with him, but is even sadder at the idea of Sammy not being a part of a forever family who will be devoted to him for the rest of his life. This extraordinary pup is love on four paws, and he has been waiting so patiently to meet you! We promise you will find him as irresistible as we do. For additional info and pictures, click here. KOBE.JPG

Kobe Bear

Koby Bear is desperate for a loving home. And we are desperate to see it happen. This sweet guy was saved from a high kill shelter and is waiting in foster. He is super friendly, and active and likes other dogs. He seems to really not like being alone and would do best in a home with someone who is home a lot. He has a neurological issue where he has lost feeling in his back feet. For all these reasons, we just want to cry, crying knowing Koby Bear is still homeless and waiting. Will you be his savior? Rosie was saved from a high kill shelter and is currently waiting for her forever family to find her. She is an active girl who would love a fun loving, active home of her own. She takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but a few treats will do the trick. Once she knows you, she is quite the ham! We hate that Rosie is still without a forever home and we know whoever picks her is going to feel like they hit the jackpot. See additional photos and information on Rosie here. Snuggles

Snuggles comes to us from NYCACC after being found on the road possibly hit by a car, with a severely broken hip. He came into the shelter barely able to walk and needed major hip surgery to repair his leg. After months of healing, he is ready... ready for life to get good! And my GOD, do we love him and know that he is so deserving of that! Snuggle's name fits him PERFECTLY too! He is a total sweet, energetic, fun, velcro dog who loves everyone he meets! So so affectionate, goofy and eager to please. We just love him! He is a young dog who would benefit from having something to do or finding an exercise buddy, but we can totally picture him cuddling and snoozing on his bed after your fun activity. Snuggles is great with other dogs too! To meet Snuggles is to love Snuggles, so don't let him pass you by. He is currently being fostered in Glen Cove, NY. Max

MALINOIS FOR ADOPTION! The ever-considerate, thoughtful Max is a dream of a companion. If only our fellow humans had his depth of soul and heart--and even half his intelligence- the world would be a far sweeter place! Max was formerly the beloved pet of someone who lost his home, and he is now living with a foster who cannot speak highly enough of him--Max not only knows all his commands, he's not only easy on the eyes, but he's an ideal guy to have by your side, whether you'd like to talk about your day or just sit quietly together. And if you're in need of a laugh, there are few things more delightful than watching this boy stroll around proudly with a toy in his mouth! Max is hoping to find a forever home, and you would be so very lucky if it might be yours! Max is a smart, friendly and inquisitive Mal who would do best in an active home! He is tolerant of other dogs after slow introductions, but is also happy to be the only dog. Max would do best in a home with Malinois experience! Please email us to find out how to meet him!
